Quality, Environment, Occupational Safety and Health

The beginnings of the systemic approach to quality date back to the early 90s of the 20th century. The basic processes in the Company have been identified and described in accordance with the requirements of the Standards.

In 1994, the company obtained an ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) certificate - stamp S, U and U2.

In 1995, the company obtained an ISO 9001 certificate, which culminated in the first stage of a structured approach to quality management, and in 1998 an environmental management certificate according to ISO 14001.

The effectiveness of the activities carried out was verified by the Company's evaluation as part of the procedures of Polish Quality Award and earlier the Silesian edition of this award. Both of these prestigious titles of RAFAKO S.A. were obtained with the first approach in 2001, which is an event without precedent in the history of these awards.

In 2002, the company completed the process of integrating the Quality Management System according to the requirements of PN-EN ISO 9001 and the Environmental Management System according to the requirements of PN-ISO 14001 was completed.

At the beginning of 2003, the Company received a certificate regarding the requirements of DIRECTIVE 97/23/EU concerning the marking of products with CE safety mark. In October 2016, the company received a certificate of full compliance of its Quality Assurance System with the provisions of Directive 2014/68/EU.

In 2006, demonstrating the more-than-standard environmental awareness, the company implemented the requirements of Regulation 761/2001/EC (EMAS) and in early 2007 it was registered in the National Register of EMAS as the fifth organization in the country.

In 2007, the company obtained certificates allowing our products to the Chinese market. Said certificates were issued by the General Office of Quality Supervision, Control and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China for the production of A class boilers and A1, A2 class pressure vessels

In 2008, in the interests of health and safety, the company implemented the OSH Management System according to ISO 45001, which was confirmed by a certificate. In 2019, the company recertified its compliance with the new standard of the occupational health and safety management system PN-ISO 45001. 

RAFAKO currently operates an Integrated Management System according to PN-EN ISO 9001, PN-EN ISO 14001, PN-ISO 45001, Directive 2014/68/EU and EMAS Regulation.

RAFAKO S.A. Integrated Management System Policy applies the Quality Management System integrated with the Environmental Management System and the OSH Management System.

 
  

ISO 9001 and 14001. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates were awarded by RW TÜV to confirm that RAFAKO SA has implemented and applies a quality assurance system and an environmental protection system within the field of design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of equipment for power generation sector, chemical industry, environment protection plants, facilities and networks for fuel gas sector including the implementation of turnkey plants. 

The implementation of an environmental management system at RAFAKO SA on the basis of the requirements of ISO 14001 obliges the factory to continuously improve the system. The desired direction in this regard is to influence the users of equipment manufactured by the factory in such a way as to create demand for state-of-the-art, “environment-friendly” products. This requires thinking in terms of the life cycle of products and creating the conditions for integrating its basic stages from design, through production, operation, modernisation to final decommissioning.

ISO 45001. This certificate confirms that RAFAKO SA has implemented and applies a an occupational health and safety management system within the field of design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of equipment for power generation sector, chemical industry, environment protection plants, facilities and networks for fuel gas sector including the implementation of turnkey plants.

TÜV Nord - AD 2000 - Merkblatt HPO certificate was issued by TÜV Nord Hamburg. It authorises RAFAKO to manufacture steam boilers and parts thereof, pressure tanks and parts thereof as well as piping and parts thereof for German market and for those markets that require proof of performance in accordance with those provisions.

ASME "S" and "U" enabling RAFAKO, as an authorised manufacturer, to use the ASME symbol for manufacture and assembly of boilers at RAFAKO in accordance with the applicable ASME regulations for boilers and pressure vessels. Each element marked with this symbol must be carried out strictly in accordance with the recommendations of ASME regulations for boilers and pressure vessels.

SVTI. Certificate issued by SVTI Pressure Vessel Inspectorate, as an accredited public administrative body for the assessment of the legality and safety of pressure vessels and pressure equipment - SVTI approves RAFAKO SA, as a facility authorised to manufacture and repair welded assemblies in accordance with the requirements of SVDB 501 both in RAFAKO workshops and at erection sites.

 

At the beginning of 2003, the Company received a certificate regarding the requirements of Directive 97/23/EU concerning the issue of the CE safety mark for, inter alia, assessment of safety of products exported to the European Union market. This means that RAFAKO S.A. meets the requirements for companies operating in the European Union. In October 2016, the company received a certificate of full compliance of the Quality Assurance System with Directive 2014/68/EU.
