Fluidised bed boilers enable the reduction of nitric and sulphur oxides emission during the combustion process itself. It means that they don't require the construction of separate and costly flue gas desulphurisation plants. RAFAKO has designed and delivered seven circulating fluidised bed boilers fired with hard coal. We have also submitted a significant number of offers for lignite fired, circulating fluidised bed boilers.
The construction of this boiler type is based on a licence acquired from EVT (currently Alstom Power). Apart from circulating fluidised bed boilers, RAFAKO has delivered 10 lignite fired, bubbling bed boilers (5 with 125 t/h capacity and other 5 OF-140 type) for Komorany Heat & Power Plant in Czech Republic.
